  1. Gracie Barnes

I haven’t had any organ transplant but unfortunately, it was found out that I have CMV infection. According to my doctor, the virus might have already been in my system for sometime but just showed symptoms when my immune system went down due to excessive lack of sleep and too much stress that I have been dealing since the past month. Nonetheless, I was prescribed with ganciclovir. After a week of taking it, my viral load went down to half of my initial result. Yesterday was my 2nd week and had my viral load tested again. It’s now down to 3000, which is about 80% lower than my 1st week result. At this rate, doc says I might be cleared from the virus by the end of next week. Thank God this drug works fast.
